Thats $1418.74!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe but then again Cornish is the stuff for the big boys...

Rid,
I'm certainly a fan of pedals ..I have SO many, but the 820 is right up there with my original '83 TS9!

and I've talked to Sean about a custom Eternity ... I think that pedal is right up there with a Klon
Maxon is one underrated company.....well correction, I had an old ts-808...I liked that one..alittle;)
Sold it as well lol...but they work for others, which is somewhat cool!
The ET is one very nice od!
A three in one machine!

Re: Aw man this is just...

I hadn't spoken much to Rid until recently but he's definitely one of the coolest people. If everyone in the music industry is like him it makes me proud that I'm redirecting my studies to get into it.

My only 'TS' pedal was a SD1. It's very easy to make it unboxier and more transparent and clear actually. Maybe 4 GBP in components. A new opamp, upgrade most of the signal caps, change some of the tone stack and there.
Rid is a cool guy... For the first few days you know him.

Believe me... Every time I have been at his house, I find myself sitting in a corner at home, nervous that the greenlandish insane person called Niels, might kill me some day.

OR at least his kids does.. Reminds me, have you told her not to call me dad ever again? Got my first heart attack there.

And TS-9 rawks, you guys just havent realised it yet.

Re: Aw man this is just...

But that's because when used as a boost you don't get any of the gain from the actual pedal, or very little.
Do you know many people who use a TS as a distortion? Putting the gain above 12 and on a clean amp? I mean everyone's free to like it. I don't. I don't like Kirk Hammett at all either he bores the hell out of me :laugh2:
I mean no offence dude by the way ;)

Low output eh? I went from a Megadrive to a Screaming Demon :D Already there bro heheh...

Re: Aw man this is just...

I allways thought, gear wise that Rid was the ying to my yang, appears to be the other way around... He is all insane with his gear :D

Kirk does get alot of the distortion for lead, from his TS-9. :D

I know bro, I am just messing with ya as well ;)

Re: Aw man this is just...

lots of people use TS-9's, but few ever use a Cornish effect and ever think twice about a ts-9.

RID said it best. "Cornish effects are for the big boys"

Re: Aw man this is just...

aw man Rid, don't talk like that. His pedals are fugly! At least CM pedals look nice.
Who cares how they look...when the sound is like that??:D
It is pure functionality, them are no teflon pedals...those are made for work!
Guess it kinda appeals to me as well....and also makes me feel less annoyed over our own use of chickenheads....they do bug me, I would love to get some MXR style knobs instead:)

Re: Aw man this is just...

Aw man those prices are just... Way beyond my budget! ;)
Good parts in there ok, but how can you ask 780 pounds for a pedal and still sell it?

Re: Aw man this is just...

Ugggh Rid... I just got offered a MXR Dist+ for 400kr used.... Wait with TS-9 an get that... Or pass it up? arrgghh.

Re: Aw man this is just...

Yeah they are like 250kr from Thomann.

Hmm should I order my 250/308 now and get the TS-9 by the 1st, or get my TS-9 in a week. Though question... :D

Re: Aw man this is just...

Or not get the TS9 and save up :P

Dude... why not get a SD1 and mod it to TS9 0r 808?

You'll save up A LOT. No kidding. And it's about...4 resistors and maybe 4 caps if I recall.

Re: Aw man this is just...

I have a SD-1.. Rid modded it. It is nothing like a TS-9 now however.

Re: Aw man this is just...

The SD1 circuit and PCBs are pretty much the same as the TS family. Boss simply use less quality caps. It's very easy to get back to TS. I'll PM you if you want.

Re: Aw man this is just...

Naah its cool.

The Boss is the best sounding pedal I have.

Gonna get a used or new TS-9 for that type of sound I think :)

but thanks bro.
