The T5 strikes me as a really good guitar that they overpriced, and overpriced themselves out of the market. And believe me, I like them and want one, and have put some time on a few. I really love the Koa, but could dig having a black one too. They're just way too much for a bolt on novelty acoustic electric. It's a great instrument, but $1900-$2800 is just silly for that particular guitar.

To satisfy my jones for that one, I've just starting using my DeArmond guitar more, since it has a neck almost identical to the T5 and the US DeArmond pickups and LP style electronics allow me to get tones that are probably better and more useful than the T5. If they priced the black T5 at $1100 and the sunburst ones at $1500, they would have had a winner.

I generally do not like opaque finishes in acoustic/electric instruments because I feel they rob a little bit of tone... specially on cheaper stuff. On these the differencecould be negligible but i'll have to test that under controlled circumstances when i get the chance.

If you wait around long enough on eBay the T5's just might go to the prices you described. And if they ever do I may pick one up!

marc seal is great I really miss his free guitar instructional show on guitarschool.net...now you have to pay....gonna ask for some lessons for my birthday

WoW...just when i tried to forget those guitars existed ($$$)!!!

that was awesome!!! i've only plugged on in once, i get the feeling you have to take some time with it to get a really good sound going?!
