so I've been saving up to buy a new bass, and I can now confidently say I'm pretty good. I'm looking for a good bass that will sound good and look good. one of the first ones I looked at was the b.c.rich bronze series warlock bass.

I already read some reviews but they didn't help much. does anyone have experience with this bass?

thanks.

Re: B.C.Rich Bronze Series Warlock

It might look cool but it definitely won't sound as good as other basses you can get for only a bit more or the same money. In my experience, B.C. Rich don't really specialize in amazing basses. Their above entry-level guitars are where it's at. Check out some G&L (I use an American G&L but the tribute models still use American hardware and sound pretty good), Spector, Warwick, Washburn, Ibanez (don't aim too low if you have to get a Soundgear and the ATK whips it for metal) and even some Squiers. I've heard a handful of LTDs and Schecters that were okay as well but I've never really heard a B.C. Rich bass that sounded how I think a bass should sound. They are notorious for not handling the low B well on the 5 string.

Definitely keep Traben in mind. They are versatile, sound awesome and are very affordable. I also highly recommend Raven West, an independent company who don't spend very much on advertising so their basses look and sound absolutely gorgeous. Our original bass player had a Raven West 5 string and I've never heard anything that sounds or looks quite like it. I'll find a picture for you.

If you're looking for a good bass, definitely dont go with BC Rich. Only good BC riches i've played were high end ones. I'd look at the low end Music Man SUB line, Squire Vintage Modified, or even some used Fender MIM's. You can get those for dirt cheap often times with after market pups.

I'll take the suggestions but I should let you know that in my country the music stores don't have a lot of diversity. Probably basses from ibanez, b.c.rich, ltd, (maybe) musicman and some REALLY low quality knock-offs

I saw another bass the other day. I think it was a Ltd f 104. sounds great and looks sick too
