Has anyone ever thought of putting a back panel on a mark v 35 combo?the main downfall of this amp is the open back lets down heavy chunky mark series tones, i mean 20kg mark series come on!!

you dont want to cover the ventilation for all those tubes, it gets hot enough already and that will insure amp failure

You want chunk? Metal? Projection?

Get a Mesa 112 Thiele cab, with either the C90 or preferably the EVM, which is what I use under mt combo. Killer rig, and portable.

Does the weight of the V:35 bother you?

A closed back extension cab is the right answer for you.

Yeah it's a killer cab for sure but if I get it I might as well get the 25/35 head, like what about at least a partial closed?

its already partially closed. in order to close the combo enough to make the difference you want, you are going to cook the amp. dont do it. if you want closed back, get the head or a extension cab

What Jeremy and Chadd wrote.

Trust me, a combo plus a cab (especially the Thiele) is the way to go. Portable and light, small stage footprint, versatile (leave the cab at home for quick jams), BIG sound.
