backwards eletronics

i just bought a dean bel aire 80s.pots were bad i took the wires right off one at a time as to not mess up.well guess what my volume and tone are back wards so im guessing i just need to replace the wire s to the post backwards?and the 3 way mini switch i didnt do anything with but when you put it in the middle gets thin funny sounding neck and bridge sound ok.

Looks like you've done a few backwards things. Wires on outer pot lugs need to be swapped, and one of the pickups needs to have its wires swapped too as you seem to be out of phase in the middle posi.
