Ther e are people under 40 here that run reputable businesses, and I think it´s fair to say at least 50% of the members are under 40.

I´ve done trades with 16 years olds and had great experiences, and have likewise been shafted by 50+ year olds (not here). I think that generalization is more than unfair

Bad apples can be found everywhere, but if you´re careful you´ll rarely be the one that has to eat one ;)

I find doubtful attitude towards us youngsters a very strong pre-assumption. All my trades went excellent (ask Captaincruch and MRID), and I'm not even near that age, so please don't make these remarks about us, it might leave a bad taste with other people. Did you pay extra for those screws and springs? If you did, I believe you have every right to be totally pissed and I could understand you posting things you don't mean, but if you didn't I think it just adds up to our reps. Something I find very hurting over things worth only a couple of bucks (your bucks yes, but also our reps).

EDIT: I'm not trying to smooth talk you into trusting dalastcaff, I want nothing to do with that matter and I believe he was wrong in both ways. Just thought I'd clear that up :)
I don't think its the fact the guy screwed him out of a couple of bucks but the principle of it, the guy said he'd put in the screws and springs and he did not...
but still im only 17 and ive had smooth trades , not to mention live overseas to all the trades i've had..

True! And i think the age generalisation is unfair, like y2stevo im young, and have had smooth trades, and am oversees!

Re: Bad Trader Alert

Smart move, Bro !!!! If y'all ever trade with me, I'll give ya my ebay name so you can check me out. If a seller/trading partner is honest, they should have nothing to hide. It's a shame that some folks scam others.

Forum member RG 2570 sent me a PM about this and I want to apologize to anyone on the forums that was Warren Lee Lynchs friend or just knew him from the forum . Had I had know he passed away I would have never posted him on the bad trader list . This taught me a lesson , yes there are people that will scam you ,there are also people that are honest and deserve a chance to explain what the problem is before they get flamed on . Unfortunatley forums member Warren Lee Lynch didn`t get that chance . Again I`m very sorry.

Its always sad to hear of the passing of one of our forum bro's, but there's no way you could have anticipated, or known about something like this.

Please don't beat yourself up over this. It was a logical conclusion to come to given the circumstances.

Re: Bad Trader Alert

Whoa, WLL sounded like a real cool dude, and was great for some 80's rock banter. I am very sorry to hear this.

Re: Bad Trader Alert

I guess I'm a conspriacy theorist at heart. I actually searched for Warren's IP and it's also the IP of RG 2570, shreddin' ed and kicken axe. New Jersey to be exact.

Then I read threads by all the four persons. I've come to the conclusion that kicken axe and shreddin ed might be the same guy. But I don't think he/them have the same style of writing as RG or WLL. Considering that RG and WLL have the same IP, same area, I'd have to say I believe his story about the heart attack thing.

Now if anyone has ever had bad deals with RG, or shreddin ed or kicken axe, speak now or forever hold your peace. And then say a little pray for Warren's family.

Re: Bad Trader Alert

thanks to everyone for the kind words, he was a good guy and helped me a great deal with my playing when i took lessons from him. he also used to do my repairs and was really cool bout it,he would say to me pay me whenever when i was out of work.
I can promise you he would never do bad on any deal.
I am going to talk to his sister who i have know since grade school, she is the one that told me he gave lessons and tell her what happened between 51501984 and him and see what she says.
and to 51501984 please do not feel bad about posting what happend you had no way to know he had passed away. no one is mad at you i just wanted to let others and yourself know he did not go bad on your deal with him
take care

Re: Bad Trader Alert

I'm not sure how much work it would be, or if its even possible, but it seems like a shame to have rememberances of a forum member who's passed, in the "bad trader alert" forum.
(Even though, I know how it got started here.)

I wonder if an admin could move a select few posts to its own thread?

Re: Bad Trader Alert

There was an RIP thread in OT a few weeks back. Perhaps one of tha admins could move it to the vault. WarrenLeeLynch would have liked it that way I think.

Re: Bad Trader Alert

RIP man,

ouch these trades seem really brutal, that burnt bass thing was harsh man, i'd be fuming if that happneed to me, which is why i would never trade stuff or buy guitars online tooooooo risky. If i was to trade a perosn a burnt bass i'd feel too guilty to even allow it to happen i couldn't live withmyself ripping off someone ouch. well lesson learned man STAY AWAY FROM ONLINE TRADES, thats just my opinion on trading, it is interetsing though to see what ppl are willing to get rid of

Re: Bad Trader Alert

dspite my bad experience with the burnt bass i received, i have gotten GREAT deals from other forumites and still do trades on here and ebay all the time.. you take the pros with the cons, i dont really fear much if the trader seems honest, plus other percautions can be taken. i learned my lesson, therefore im a stronger person from it
