Bands with 7 String Guitarists?

Hey guys. I'm trying to get more into my RG7620 and I realized I only listen to one band that uses a seven string and that's Dream Theater, Trapt does too but I don't listen to them too much.

Can you guys give me some bands that use these guitars or even solo instrumental stuff? I know Vai uses one too here and there.

Not all of dream theaters stuff is seven string is it? I was under the impression only a bit was.

Yep. Some of my favorite DT 7-string tracks:

Lie
The Glass Prison
This Dying Soul

Also, Nevermore uses 7-strings.

I love the glass prison, nevermore has some good stuff to. My favorite DT track is strange deja vu though, its pretty cool.

Satch uses one on the tracks "Mind Storm" and "Seven String" (imagine that) from his Strange Beautiful Music album. James Hetfield used one on a few tracks from St. Anger but he just tuned it to drop C with two low Cs.

lots of grindcore bands use them.. pig destroyer for one..

as for metal, korn, limp bizkit, meshuggah use them sometimes? its crazy how few bands there are!

They used them exclussively from about 97 or so, until Nothing when they converted to 8 strings.

Most of the bands I went and saw in St. Louis at Pop's this weekend used 7-strings and 6-string basses. They were great (except a few) and screamed a lot but they weren't really my cup o' tea. I got to go for free (friend drove) and I only had to pay a $2.00 surcharge for being under twenty-one.

Crossfade. I'm pretty sure the guitarist in Meshuggah uses an Ibanez 8 string.

There used to be a band here in Holland called 'Triple 7'. They had two 7-string guitarists AND a 7-string bassplayer. I don't know what happened to them though. I think all three of them are now in Engine of Pain, but I'm not too sure.
