Basic Recording Help?

What do I need to get started out with basic recording?

I just want to be able record some stuff and upload it here so you guys can let me know what you think of my playing... good or bad.

Would this get me started?

I just want something simple that allows me to get some music up. I don't need anything professional and I would like to stay away from the PODs... I don't like them very much...

That should work to just get some ideas down. Personally, I like recording onto a full computer for the editing/multi-tracking options, nut a small all-in-one recorder like that would likely be simpler. You might eventually want to get a mic for it though, as built-in mics often suck. The 2GB drive is OK, provided that you can pull your music off of the recorder and store it on your computer somehow.

Your soundcard in your PC might or might not be good enough already.

Download Audacity and give it a shot. Many higher quality mainboards have perfectly fine onboard sound (and many expensive boards have junk, eh).
