Bass contour control with Blackouts???

Hi everyone, Does anyone know if it’s possible to use a passive bass contour control like on the reverend guitars with Blackout BMP-1 module? If so would I use the same value pot and cap for it.
Thanks

Yeah it'll work. I wouldn't recommend a passive bass cut though, purely on the grounds it's gonna be way easier to find an active one.

The 25k Volume pot with the Blackouts means that you won't get the same result using the stock Reverend values. I'll do some quick tests later today to see what works.

Ok, I made a quick recording. There are four sets of dropped D chugs:

1. Stock tone
2. .03, Pot swept a couple of times
3 .022, Pot swept again
4 .0015 (Stock passive value); Cuts out lots of signal as well as all bass.

Guitar was on my lap with alligator clipped pot on the computer desk so it's quite noisy. One hand chugging, the other turning the pot.
This is the Jazz Neck loaded Strat mentioned in the other thread. It's a very bright and tinny guitar so the bass content is reined in from the source.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the control works.
