Bass PU's

Hey forum bros -

I would like to ask your advice again: In a bass of the Fender Precision ilk, what SD pick up(s) would you recommend slapping in this puppy?

I am quite in the dark when it comes to bass pick ups - I DO Know I'd like a little more punch and a little more 2-3k mids happening (I never eq bass on records if I can help it)

im a big fan of the qp pups. big bottom, thick mids and still some highend.

jazz or p style? recording direct?

SPB-3 Quarter Pound for P-Bass---definitely. Instant tone and attitude.

Dimarzio Model P works well and is similar to the QP's. I think the QP's are a little more aggressive while the Model P is a a hot vintage sound.
