I see a 400B 1x15 combo on the local c-list. Amp is rack mountable. Ad calls it "stupid loud"

Anybody play one? How was it?

Re: Bassists...Yorkville amps...Opinions?

Yorkville is Traynor. They are excellent both in build quality and design. All the Yorkville/Traynor stuff has a 5 year warranty - but the first two years are "even if you break it". They stand behind their stuff.

They're Canadian made. They even do their speakers in house.

Re: Bassists...Yorkville amps...Opinions?

Never played one. (I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic Ocean.) Stupid loud could be good. Just make sure that the amplifier is not stupidly bulky or weighty.

As you can see from my avatar/location, I am a few years more decrepit than you. For the sake of my back, I am in the process of changing from a Marshall DBS stack to TC Electronic Staccato'51/RS210.

Yeah, 40 ain't old, but despite what I said as a younger guy, I'm now looking for gear that makes the right sound in smaller amps.

I'm just gonna try it out, and if there's no big rattles or other gremlins, it will be better than toting around the monstrosity of an amp and cab I use now.

Re: Bassists...Yorkville amps...Opinions?

I played one, it's a friends and I used to use it when I played bass.
Great amp, often too loud and very thunderous. Used it in a hard rock/metal band and was always heard. Great workhorse, great quality.
