Hi, I'm a bassist.
I have a Lakland 44-02 with an MM/J pickup config. w/ a Coil Split, panning, three-band active EQ, and a preamp bypass. Currently, I have a pair of Barts in it.
I have a few questions:
1. Can I switch to Basslines and maintain all current features? Including the Coil Split?
2. Would I have any problems running an MM/J set of Basslines with my current Bartolini preamp?
3. Would I have to adjust the Preamp Input Gain Trimmer or the Midrange Frequency Dipswitch or make any other adjustments to the preamp? If so, would I be able to make them myself (very minimal experience with wiring)?
4. Can I buy a Basslines MM pickup without the "Tone Circuit"?
5. Be honest, would it be worth the switch? (I'm a heavy slapper, but I also play a lot of jazz.)
6. Which Basslines J-pickup would go best with the MM/J p/up config?
Thanks for any help.
