Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

$999 for a novelty isn't that great- I thought the originals were half that price.

Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

Why is it a novelty? There are many guitars made from Lucite...not as common as wood mind you but I wouldn't call it a novelty.

Pricey...I thought the original models were cheaper also.

What would be cool is if you could rig up some lights for the stage so the guitar changed color or beat like a heart or to the beat of the
song. Wouldn't be to hard at all...
You could do all kinds of cool things with it for stage show.

Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of clear plastic guitars anyways, but why on earth would they not have some kind of cover so that you can't see the wires/pots? At least an Ampeg Dan Armstrong looks cohesive. This just looks like the designers gave it 7/10ths.

Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

Not a fan of the cutout booby headstock. I don't think I would want clear but red with some led lights in it would be cool.

Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

Yea, I thought the originals were hot pink or neon green acrylic and priced in the $200 range. The clear does nothing for me and the price is ridiculous, IMO.

Yeah I have an neon green acrylic mocking bird. Got it brand new with case for 300 out the door. The guitar looks pretty cool but its heavier than hell and the tone is meh at the very best.

THIS THIS THIS

Lower the price and give me some different colors and we'll talk.

Re: BC Rich Acrylic Lucite

werd - at TWo-fiddy in lime green, red, etc....just awesome.

And let's be real - these are made to be played with the gain on 73, so toner is not an issue. I can think of a couple of bands where a green acrylic warlock would be killer.
