Been sitting on this one

I have lots of songs I've never shared because of the desire/obsession I have with releasing a cohesive album. I also have lots of recordings that I fear may never see the light of day because of imperfections in the production and things I can't quite re-create that, well, prevent me from re-creating said tracks, at least exactly as they were. This is one I've been saving for an ep or lp. It contains some of my favorite guitar playing on the part of my collaborator for the Sonl project, Mark. The foundational noises are me. For a long while I felt the guitar was too quiet, and my computer had been stolen so we lost the original project. We did re-record it, but without the dynamic shifts from soft to loud it lost a lot of feeling, so we decided to stick with the original. This was recorded about 6 months ago. Comments appreciated!

Looking forward to checking this out! Remember, it's only rock n roll! Make mistakes, learn from them, but don't ever stop creating and releasing new music. I turn out new stuff at a pretty good rate, but wish I could do more! My schedule is the only thing (besides sleep) that keeps me from releasing an album per week!

Thanks Vasshu! And that's sound advice Twilight. I have been about persistently creating music, but not necessarily releasing it. I guess the thought process is that everything released reflects on my artistic ethos, so I have tried to be quite selective. Maybe I should retroactively share some recordings though, given that this place is supportive and low stakes. And I feel you about work schedule and lack of time getting in the way. I don't think I crank out tracks quite as fast as you do, but I'd definitely be able to produce a lot more if that's all I was doing.

Here's one that was improvised and recorded in one take around the same time period as "yuma":

I will share another one each week or so until I get into territory where it doesn't feel share worthy :)

Edit: Also, is there anyway to change the thread title?
