Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Did I mention I'll be using Duct Tape for strap locks? INDUSTRIAL!!!!!

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Pretty much the furthest you can get from my tastes without being a BC Rich but I gotta say, that's remarkably well executed. Excellent work, man. :beerchug:

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Are you going to remove "under construction", now that it's done?

Nice

Hey - I'm obviously a burst LP guy myself....

But what can I say? For < a hunnerd bucks, I had to! Dominus just blew me away with his stuff. i said "I can do that!" So I did!

This will be the first of many...

I'm thinking of making a pickup test bed with the Duncan wiring harness.

I'm thinking of making a LOT of things!!!! Perhaps an EVH style next...should be easy.:scratchch

I'm thinking of making a pickup test bed with the Duncan wiring harness.

Install a plug n play wiring harness, but don't stop there... cut a hole through the back of the body and swap pickups without ever detuning a string. You can fit a cover over it like a mini-trem cover

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Aceman,...you did it.

I mean, you DID IT!!

I love it. Great idea, and great exicution of that idea. And you didn't go overboard. Very tastefully done.

Great job. You have made me want to pick up a Vendetta and do a project in my "spare time".

I can't get over how much I love it.

Now, you're my hero.

This however, is an excellent idea!

Now, to swap that mag!

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

You should be coming to DOA Friday night and seeing it play live!

Wood shims cut and stacked, just like Dominus said would work. Then some Elmers wood fill for the space. Smoothed and sanded a few times, paint, and POOF - all gone.

I would love to go but I work friday night. :(

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Yea, Dominus definitely helped you. I don't think he's quite figured out the volume knob thing either. :)

Good job!

Hahaha.

Actually, my first few Deans were stock electronics (with the switch being an off/on/on switch), then the next few were volume knob only, then the last few were straight to the jack. I had always kept my tone knob on full blast, and then I realized that I always kept the volume knob on full as well.

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Might be heading straight to a "duh" moment but I must ask. How did you pull the graphic? Used a template and cut out the masking tape? Same for the letters?

BTW, AWESOME work, now it kinda makes me wanna go to town with one of 'em as well :9:

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

The Chops Builder played it's first gig tonight!

Worked flawlessly. The Blackout sounded fantastic.

Second gig is tomorrow.

I used paint mask to make the the stencils for the letters and the graphic of the body. Just blue taped the outline of the sign.

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Next time you have an idea like this, lets go halves on a hundred chinese bodies, some chinese hardware, you be the brains of the operation, and I'll supply the gruntwork, we'll throw em up on ebay 100 at a time for 250 a pop and make a bundle.

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Hey man that's a very beautiful craftsmanship! How did you get the neck hole filled so smooth. Did you insert like a compound along the edge? Like plastering a wall with cement after the bricks have been layered?

Re: BEHOLD! NDIDVD!!!! (Dominus/Dean Content)

Aceman, most of the time I leave your threads wondering if you're really about 2 IQ points away from being legally retarded, but THAT right there proves you are an ABSOLUTE GENIUS!

Can he build it? YES HE CAN!
Bravo!

:notworthy
