Behringer ultra-di pro di100

Reckless Abandon

New member
says it will handle a Direct connection of amplifier outputs with up to 3,000 Watts.

Will this act as a dummy load and DI to record with?

thanks

Wow! That's what it says. If that is what it will do, it's not a bad price, even if it dies in 6 months.

You try it first though. If your amp blows up, I'm not buying one. :p

I don't think it acts as a load box, just a pass through. Might want to double check that..

Re: Behringer ultra-di pro di100

sounds to good to be true but thought I would ask. I want a palmer but will never spend that much. I thought about a weber mass as well but this thing is cheap.

Re: Behringer ultra-di pro di100

I was thinking the other day about my ultra-g, and I think you could probably still get a halfway decent super low volume thing going on through the speaker where it'd be pretty quiet in the room, but you could still capture the direct sound from the speaker out (it can accept the speaker level, just be sure to then connect it to the speaker cab) into the DI for passing through a cab sim for recording. If you're getting your distortion from preamp tubes or a pedal (which most of us do), it should't be too big of a deal to play really quiet. If you're using a 1-12" you could even jam some pillows in front of the speaker to reduce the room volume since that's not what you're going for. I was gonna try this soon...
