Thought I'd post a pretty good Sweetwater demo of the amp. I'm still feeling pretty good about this amp...

My only hangup is that you can buy an original valveking for like $200 these days.

I like buying gear that holds its value...

I prefer gear that sounds good, rather than worrying about what I can sell it for. Anything that's mass produced in China will eventually end up being available for about 1/3 the retail price due to market saturation and perceived value.

That said, I did like the original Valveking, and wouldn't have any problem having another one someday. Throw an OD in front and you'll be able to push it pretty hard.

They have one at the Roseville GC, dude. I tried it when I was there last time.

yea, I played on that one two. It's the 50 watt with 6l6s. I really liked it, tell the truth. it's fat and flabby, and can get fatter and flabbier.

I don't disagree with you, I'm just not the guy who wants to spend close to $600 now for something I know will be available for less than half that in maybe a year or two.

Used, preferably vintage, loud amplifiers are what I dig.

Just wait for it to be out for a year or two and then snag one. I *rarely* pick up anything new.
