My only hangup is that you can buy an original valveking for like $200 these days.

I prefer gear that sounds good, rather than worrying about what I can sell it for. Anything that's mass produced in China will eventually end up being available for about 1/3 the retail price due to market saturation and perceived value.

That said, I did like the original Valveking, and wouldn't have any problem having another one someday. Throw an OD in front and you'll be able to push it pretty hard.

I don't disagree with you, I'm just not the guy who wants to spend close to $600 now for something I know will be available for less than half that in maybe a year or two.

Used, preferably vintage, loud amplifiers are what I dig.

Just wait for it to be out for a year or two and then snag one. I *rarely* pick up anything new.
