All of the older peaveys, vtm's, classics, triumphs. you might be able to find a 5150 for that price on ebay.

well, the Hot Rod Deville 2x12 with kick butt distortion pedal is pretty hard to beat. Just don't count on it for it's overdrive, but it's clean is rather good (AND FREAKING LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Save up more cash and get a Twin, just for the unnecessary amount of power you get out of those things.

135 watts on some models? I wants me some of that...

i second the VC5212,

i have the VC3112, but i only need 30 watts and 1 speaker, the 50 2X12 is even better

well in that case id look for a used 5150...... the peavey has nice distortion, but the clean tone is the better part of the amp from my findings......

yeah i have a 5150 head and it rocks. I just need something smaller...to play at smaller gigs. I'm trying to find a good 2x12.....as it isn't easy..to find everything of my likings.

I got my Twin for under $400 (do used amps count in this thread?)
And Yup !! it's the 135watt model. Talk about unnecessary power :saeek:

I have also been looking at the Kustom Quad 100 DFX Combo and the Marshall MG230DFX. Do they suit any of your likings? I know what ya mean by uneccessary power. My 5150 head...i turn it up to 3 and my head feels like it is going to pop off. :smash:
