Super sonic 22 is a nice choice. 6v6 tubes usually hang around 20 watts. Great for home use. A marshall 40c is nice if you want el34 tube tone. Its got a half power switch which puts it again at the magic home 20 watt level with room to expand should you choose to play with some mates. Today I just played a Paul Reed Smith 20 se combo on sale in the 700 range. Its again a 6v6 amp with very good tone in this price range. Best I have heard in this price range.
I played the paul reed smith amp today with a Fender standard American strat with fat 50's singles and a humbucker in the bridge. What a great combo for that price range.

Get a BJ change the speaker to jensen C12K. Definition of Sparkle.

There is a master volume too so you can always play quietly. If it's still not quiet enough, get 110 cab with cheap inefficient speaker.

Re: Best amp for home - regardless of price?

@zzmoore how do you mean? I am speaking from experience, I tried a blackstar amp through the 112 cab and it's pretty loud then I tried using it with a vox lil'nighttrain 110 cab and there's huge volume difference (lesser of course)

Did I say you were incorrect.?

Re: Best amp for home - regardless of price?

@zzmoore I don't quite get what you mean, quite honestly. Care to explain?

Explain what.?
Do you want to know why I am agreeing with you, or why I think your statement is sig worthy.?
Both....OK
I agree with you because a smaller and less efficient speaker will bring amplitude attenuation.
Sig worthy because I thought it was a bit humorous how you segued from the MV into a less efficient speaker.
Can you sleep now.?

Yes, thank you. But I don't want to sleep now.
