Best clean fender amp

I have a 4x10 and need a head for it, and plan to use it primarily for cleans. I plan to work on getting a marshall next summer for my dirty work, and until then just stick my tubescreamer infront of the fender. I'm currently leaning toward trying to find a showman on ebay, but I thought I'd get some opinions on this matter first. I basically just need an amp with a ton of headroom, I don't really need something with a real nice breakup or anything (not that I'd complain, just saying that the emphasis is on the cleans)

The Showmans are THE fender heads for "tons of headroom" clean.

I like the blond showmans, but I think the dual showman has reverb? If so, that could be a big bonus.

I'd look for a 70's Dual Showman Reverb head. (I'm not sure if a 1974 version exists, but that's my favorite year for 70's Fenders. Before or after '74 the parts quality doesn't seem to be as nice.) A Twin Reverb really, in a head form. Then I'd have it blackfaced to '65 Twin Reverb specs. Lew

BF Showman or Twinreverb are awesome clean amps, also the strange SF Bassman 100 or 120 are good clean amps.

I'm not a world expert on the matter, but a Vibrolux Reverb sounds real nice.

The Bassman heads from the late 60's and early 70's are really underrated. You can probably pick on up pretty cheap.

I'm not a world expert on the matter, but a Vibrolux Reverb sounds real nice.

Perhaps the blackface ones are. My silverface one (made in '70) has nice warm, full cleans, but not a lot of headroom and there really isn't any chime or sparkle to it.

I agree with the people who said blackface Fender Twins and Showmans 110% (only amp with a better clean is the Matchless Chieftain I've played).
