Best Duncan for modern metal in mahogany?

Hey all, I'm looking to replace the bridge pickup in my ibanez sz320 (all mahogany including the neck with a maple top.)
I'm looking for a thick, articulate, crunch with great clarity and note definition but still warm, not overly bright or harsh. I use a 6505+ if that helps and i DO NOT scoop my mids.

I'm considering these pickups:

SH-10 full shred

SH-10 full shred with ceramic magnet ( i heard that this gives better low end)

SH-5 Duncan custom

Which of these pickups will give me the tone i'm after?
By the way, any mention of the JB will cause me to hunt you down and destroy you - jeeeeeez i hate that pickup!

Duncan Distortion! unless you use super low tunning, then go FS

Maybe the Custom 8 would be a good choice.

I think the custom is exactly what you wanting. And yes drop c is low enough that you will want a tight pup. Also the distortion is a amazing pup for down tuning but some consider it harsh. Jb doesn't suck. Probably not what you are looking for though

Im using a distortion in dropB and dropC with excelent results.

With a 6505+ i would recommend starting with gain and EQ at 12 o'clock and going from there.

I would suggest the Distortion, as well. It's bright and a tad harsh to some, but it's controllable and the guitar/amp settings can really do a lot with it. For metal and mahogany, it's one of the best choices as far as Duncans go.

Depends. Do you consider Drop C super low?

I think it's right in the grey area, personally I would wonder if I care more about clarity or power. If it was something like drop A, I'd say Full Shred all the way.

Custom, the overly bright/harsh comment makes me think a DD might not suit you.

I dont consider C super low tuning. B is a grey area. A is super low.

The JB is good for mag swaps. I dont have much use for a factory JB.

Thats cool i can understand if you dont care for the stock JB, to each his own but the other guy plain out said it sucks? It definitely does not!

The custom8 is a mean ass pickup too. It may be too boomy for low tuning though.
