I walked into work today, and my boss handed me a gift which he knew I'd love. He bought it at a discount at Costco, but I just found it on amazon.com

"Totally Guitar The Definitive Guide" is the title of the book, and I gotta say I've never ever seen a more complete book on the the guitar. It's got over 2000 pictures of gear, bios on all the important players, FX pedals, amps, a complete chord book, instruction on most styles of music, explanations on alternate tunings, complete guitar maintenance and repair, and EVEN WIRING DIAGRAMS for stock guitars and modded guitars!! YES!!! This book even gives a history lesson on every guitar manufacturer. You guys have GOT to put this book on your Christmas wish list. You could literally throw away every other book you have and replace it with this one. The retail price is $30, but you can find it discounted to as low as $18. Hardcover, 608 pages, full color, and all the info is current.

its a great book, i got mine a couple weeks ago, it basically teaches you how to do everything you need in the technical aspect of either reparing or just tuning up your guitar!

I started reading my book last night. It explains every guitar related question you ever had. I really loved the bios on all the music companies. It tells you what years they were founded, and all the details of the ownership. If you own only one guitar book, this is IT. Copy my link, and send it to anyone looking to buy you a gift for Christmas. It's a book that looks like it cost $70 for as low as twenty bucks!!!

Excellant! I'll put it on the Christmas list.

I think Dan Erlewine's book of complete guitar repair is a must have too. I've gone through two volumes of it. The latest edition is an absolute must have!

Yeah, if you just have a few key books and read them through, it's a lifetime of guitar knowledge that took those authors years to put together.

I got mine last week and cant put it down. It has everything, I loke the style tips for some odd styles like african and I love the company bios. A must have book.

The book is almost worth the price just for the pictures alone. Lot's of great color pics of almost everything guitar related.

That is a dutch version of santa claus, who celibrates on december 5.
On that day all kids (and grown ups to, when they are sweet :laugh2: ) get presents.
