Re: Best Guitar Ever

I'm a strat nut, so that's what I voted...

but for the consistently best guitars I've ever played, that would have to be the Ernie Ball/Music Man Silhouette.

Re: Best Guitar Ever

Tough.

There's much evidence to back up the idea the Les Paul standards from 59-60 were the best solid elctrics ever built.

But personally, I'd go for a tele.

But for best design, I'd have to say that Paul Reed Smith's very intelligent blend of fender and gibson attributes is the closest anyone has come to delivering the best of both worlds.

the best?? Whichever one vibes best, it don't matter what kind it is!! ;)

I souldn't have said it better! For me it's LPs. I've owned Hamers, Strats, Ibanez RGs, Custom Ibanez models, and Deans. I'll take an LP every time.

Re: Best Guitar Ever

ever since I played Scott's PRS I've been cursed by the fact I badly want one yet can't afford it :(

Re: Best Guitar Ever

My original vintage Dean guitars are byfar the best solid body electrics I have ever played!! :bigthumb:

speedloader and ibanez= :earl:

I don't know what you've got against either of those... I've never tried a BC Rich Speedloader equipped guitar, but it looks really handy! And Ibanez guitars kick @ss!!!

Re: Best Guitar Ever

Define best. For me, it depends. If you're talking about most versatile, I'd go with Tele. If you're talking about prettiest, I'd go with SG. If you're talking about coolest look, I'd have to say Explorers, Vs or Warlocks. Easiest to take care of, hands down Tele. Hmm...as died in the wook Gibson as I am, I guess I'd have to say Teles.

Re: Best Guitar Ever

After playing one, i have to say i love the Korean wolfgang neck. One day it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine :)

Re: Best Guitar Ever

Well, I've been playing a Les Paul as my main guitar for the last 7 years. So lately I started thinking I needed a new guitar. I looked high and low, played some SGs, Teles, various others..... Really thought about it long and hard....

Then I bought another Les Paul. :32:

Re: Best Guitar Ever

I'd be willin' to throw down a "C" on any solidbody outfitted with a rear-position pickup. Don't even have to work. Grocery sack for a case, some spare change for a couple of Radio Shack leads and a furious fuzzbox. Killer combo for your stack of greenbacks.

Re: Best Guitar Ever

I cannot vote for one of the listed guitars. I only play authtentic old-school USA Charvels. these are the only guitars for me.

Re: Best Guitar Ever

What a hard question!!!!

I ditched my LP Custom because it played like a log, felt like a log, and sounded like....not good. But now I have my Heritage 150 (LP made by the old school folks, in the old school factory, the old school way) and It is a joy to play. So I am tempted to put my money there BUT....I have other loves.

330 and 335's
My 330 will woop any LP's @$$ and send it home crying to mama. The playability and tone is phenomenal...the only problem is it's fully hollow and unsuitable at very high volume in a small space. A 335 solves this problem and is still warm, snappy, but solid and crunchy. Gotta love em.

Then there is my mistress....my lady in leather and lace....my tele. These guitars are unbelievable. Mine is an 01 or 00 Am. Series. It took me forever to set it up correctly but since then it has been the playability is amazing and the tone searing. I have the QP's in it and have sanded out the neck pocket and the guitar's sustain is great and the cruch is unbelievable. For rythym it is chief lead work takes some getting used to. The action is low and FAST. Hammer ons are easy and tapping is as well. It's light and easy on ye ole back for hours on end.

I have no decision making ability, between my guitars, but on the list the tele gets my vote.

all i wanna know is...

where in the hell does the BC Rich Warlock fit in with those guitars!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! :eek13:

Not funny
The real warlocks (with changed pickups) sound great and they usualy cost on par with everything else in there+ they look much better.
