Saying I found it in the garbage was a bit of an exaggeration in order to make an attempt at a joke about beaubrummels signature. But anyway, what actually happened was I was at a thrift store and there is a section where they turn away products due to them being to worn or damaged. There was this guitar case that was extremely dirty and had a busted lock, keeping it from being opened. I took it home and when I finally managed to break the case open, there was an extremely damaged EVH Wolfgang Special. The body was (and still is) in horrorible shape, but I think if I get it some pickups, fix the dents with some wood filler, and refinish it, it can become useable again.

If I had that guitar and wanted something strong but not overpowering, I'd go Super D/Super 2 and call it done.
If the Super 2 is a touch too much for ya, sub in a PAF Pro. Again, done.

Wow, cool find. I'd love to see the 'before' pic. And 'during' and 'after' pics. I love projects like that.

We've talked about them before. See if this jogs your memory...
They're in a '62 LP/SG I "borrowed" from my dad last Christmas. I didn't write down the values, but it seems like the bridge was 7.5-ish, neck was a hair over 8.
