I'm very new to all this pickup stuff. But does anyone mind telling me what "PAF" stands for??
Patent Applied For. It was on the back of the early Gibson pickups that people seem to love.
PAF means "Patent Applied For"
It's the general name given to the earliest Gibson humbucker pickups designed by Seth Lover, because they didn't have a model number per se, or a patent number, but they came with a sticker on the baseplate that said "Patent Applied For"
Basically PAF = vintage humbucker
oh cool. thanks. do you have any soundclips or something? it sounds interesting.
and is it very low output?
