Iv got the GAS bad for a LP but just cant afford one right now, I have a budget of around 200-300 so I thought I might be able to find a decent LP copy. Iv seen the Agile, Arbor, and ESP models all for around $ 200.00 ea. Has anyone tried any of the ones I listed and if so what did you think ?

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

i know its been said before and is getting old but agile is great

i suggest looking on ebay for the old agiles that were REAL les paul copys

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

The Tokai LPs are really very good but for the money that you are on you may have to settle for one made in Korea. The jap ones are also outside your budget range but if you could save a few more dollars and wait a couple more months then I am sure that one of them will have your name on it. Also try the Burny copies as they are supposed to be good although I have no experience of them.

I have done a search on e-bay an these are the ones listed for Tokai:

These are for the Burnys:

FWIW - this is my Tokai LS75Q, which is a '59 re-issue and has got PAF pups on them and really very nice - it was made in '99.

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

Agiles would be great for you, I think. They sound great, play great, and are way cheaper than they have a right to be. :13: All they really need is new pickups. Plus, they're already loaded with Grover tuners, that's a BIG plus in my book.

Dude that is SWEET!!! :32:

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

Burny and Greco are two other "lawsuit" brands that usually go for way less than Orvilles or Tokais and generally represent an excellent value.

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions, it was a big help.

Re: Best Les Paul Copy ?

the best copy of LP is the USA The Heritage series actually they are not LP copies cause original LP's are made by the craftsmen of The Heritage INC. before Gibson factory in Kalamazoo was moved to Nashville leaving the craftsmen behind and they continue producing great hand made guitars there...the quality is far better than the newly produced gibsons...the only fact they're not called LP is because of Gibson's copyright...

I don't recall the last time I've seen a Heritage for $300.
