Best Looking Amp Ever Made

Maybe I am particular to my own work, but I think it stands well against many others. This is the prototype, so there isn't even a name on it.

I could totally see that front panel being red or 50s scientific/intrinsic blue instead of black too.

I like the white vibroverb style knobs and the woodwork is A+

95 rev-G with transitional era stuff like the hardwired power cord and only four speaker-outs (no true 16ohm tap), not sure on which transformer though.

Mesa really puts some beautiful amps together. My Blue Angel is covered with blue leather.

That should have been standard on those. I bet those are pricing through the roof, not that you'd ever sell it. (everyone has a price!)

It is a strange amp to be a Boogie, isn't it? It sounds like a Deluxe with way more mids. You don't really need pedals with it.

Yep, that's drool-worthy.

It's amazing the degree to which Mesa dominates this thread. They really know how to lay out an amp to look amazing.

Thanks. Earlier this year it finally got some deserved TLC from my local (as in 70m away) authorized Mesa tech.

He did caps and a couple scratchy pots, general stuff like cleaning the pots and clean/brush the power tube sockets, but the real treat was a Mesa-spec lossless serial loop.

Then with the slot of the no longer needed mix pot, he installed a mini toggle to bypass the send-level pot. This is cool because when bypassed it is just a bit more crisp and clear than it is with the send-level at max. Not something to do when effects are in the loop of course, but if nothings in the loop you can bypass the send-level but still have both channel and output volumes in play. This gives the benefit like the loop bypass setting on the back without losing your output volume knob on front.

It cost me almost nothing extra since he was doing the serial loop anyways. It was basically the price of the mini-toggle.

Mesa has made stellar amps in just about every style, not too many true dogs over the years.
