Best Metal bridge pickup on a Basswood body with floating trem?

I have an Ibanez RG1570 with Basswood body and Edge Pro floating trem and i wanted some input on which bridge pickup would rip for Metal on this guitar? I was going to get a DiMarzio Super Distortion or Tone Zone but i thought i would check out some advice on Seymour Duncans as well. What would be Duncans equivalent to the Super Distortion or Tone Zone? Because of the type of guitar i have you need to get something bass and mids heavy to accomodate the loss from a Basswood guitar with a floating trem,at least, that`s what i`ve heard!!!!! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

I recently installed a Super Distortion in my RG750 (Basswood w/ maple neck, rosewook FB) and it's a new guitar now. Totally metal.

PM me with your e-mail address and I will record a clip of it if you want.

my suggestion is to get a patb2 the parallel axis distortion. it was literally made for guitars like you have. loads of output and a thick chunky sound

I`m going with DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge for sure!!!!! Duncan doesn`t offer that much in F spaced pickups and i like the DiMarzio`s better anyway. Thanks to pinto79 for helping me decide!!!!!!!

I'm gonna go out and be a little tratiorish here, but the DiMarzio/IBZ pickups in the basswood ibanez RG2620 i played were very good pickups IMO...how you would get ahold of of one is beyond me though.
duncan offers f-spacing on just about everyone of their bridge pickups(only exception I know of is the jazz model)...and I'm sure the dimebucker would have enough bass and mids.

I wouldn't look at the numbers too keenly. Believe the people here, they aren't here to fool you or anything else such.

I'd at least steer away from the Tone Zone unless you have a very bright guitar. Nothing wrong with going DMZ, but please pay attention long enough to be really able to make a rational decision.

What's your musical style, what kind of tone are you looking for? Any examples from more known players?

No,No....... you took that out of context!!!! I wasn`t impling that.....I played the Dimebucker before and for the kinda guitar that i have,Ibanez with Basswood body and floating trem,i feel the Dimebucker will be too trebly. I heard the Super Distortion and feel thats a much better fit because of the extra bass and mids!!!!!
