Re: Best Neck Pickup to Pair With 59/Custom
GuitarDoc and others,
That is what I use in my SG 61-re-issue. C/59 H in the bridge and a Jazz bridge in the neck. I thought it might pair a touch better, output wise but still be a Jazz, just a touch louder. I have had no problem with boominess at all.
I use the 59/C bridge double parchment uncovered and use the Jazzb neck with a nickel cover, turned 180. They are fabulous live and as a condo guitar through my Princeton Reverb. I am still amazed how well that Hybrid can do anything.
I have the Hybrid in 2 other guitars. Various neck p'up's and all work well. Even a single coil Twangbanger in the neck works wonders together, very Hendrix like.
