Best Pickup for floating FR?

I find that with floating FR guitars, there is a marked reduction in the bass frequencies and some of the mids as well, resulting in a very trebly sounding guitar. Which is the best humbucker (in trembucker spacing) that would best compensate for this loss of bass and mids?

I was thinking custom-custom, but I thought I would get a few more opinions before I purchase.

Someone suggested an invader to me, but I heard the soundclips on the SD website, but I find the Invader to be too mushy-sounding and lacking in clarity.

Whaddaya think? BTW, opinions on other pickups by Dimarzio are also considered!

custom-custom would fill in the gaps from what i hear.
or maybe the custom for a heavier tone?

the air zone or breeds are made for lack of bass on OFR guitars

Try some Dimarzios like the Super3, Breed, Super Distortion, etc....

Fatter pickups that are heavy on the mids to compensate.

ALthough I find fingerboards woods to play a larger role than FR vs non-FR you can always beef up a thin guitar with those pickups.

The Custom Custom is nice, but you must keep in mind that the highs and lows will be a lot looser with this pickup than with most others. Another line of pickups to keep in mind are the Parallel Axis Trembuckers. these things were made specifically to put the meat back into Floyd equipped axes.

a pup i can always recomend is the dimebucker. It's versetaille and as a rail pickup you don't have probs with pole piece alinement.And keep in mind that it was mainly designed for guitars with floyds(did dime anytime use a guitar without one?)

I just talked to someone that had that same problem with his floyd guitar
he said he found his solution in the PAtb-1.
he tried numerous models with no luck and then was told by a person at duncan to try a PAtb-1?
he said in his guitar this thing is like a JB in a lester! :32:

I heard the PATB and it does sound like the Custom Custom with a bit more bass and lower mids. Has anyone done a bit of a side-by-side comparison of these two pickups? ANyone else use this pickup to counter an anemic sounding bridge?
