The title says it all. I missed an ebay auction for a like new vintage Schecter pickgard (dual humbucker). Thanx for an advise.

^ what?? no. You have to get one off ebay. I had one that was thick brass, and I cant remember what it was. Was it an old Fender brass guard? I think it may have been an old Dimarzio or Charvel. It was thick , heavy, and awesome. It was chromed brass, but it was so cool that I felt no need to have a solid brass colored one. If so, then maybe a metal shop can take the chrome off.

Brass pickguards, not gold, not anodized, brass.

Tone Guard is smoking crack.

I need this in HSS (looks like I will be making my own)

Yep, but still half the price or less of a vintage Schecter

Re: Best source for a custom brass strat pickguard

I know absolutely nothing about vintage Schecters (or new ones really), but anyone paying that kind of coin for a simple brass pickguard is daft. A fool and his money will soon part

Re: Best source for a custom brass strat pickguard

I asked Tone Guard about doing a lefty 1 humbucker strat guard this past summer and they quoted me @ $75 plus S&H...
Ive since bought a shovel at a yard sale and started digging for a copper vein in my neighbor's yard and got about 3ft down, then I heard his car pull into the driveway, so I aborted and ordered a regular old plastic one from Warmoth.
