Re: Best Tuner for the $$$...?

I sure like the little Korg CA-30 someone here suggested to me a few months ago. If I lost it or broke it I'd get another one. About $20. Lew

A Great tuner is money well and wisely spent...You can't put a price tag on getting "sweet" sounding chords and notes and being in perfect tune initially..This tuner solved most of those WTF sounding notes and chord woes we had in our band...You do get what you pay for also...Good luck in your tuner quest buddy...

Peterson Virtual Tuner...Best tuner I've ever owned...Hands down!
+1. At ~$180 it's not cheap but in terms of accuracy and features, it offers a heckuva lot. Considering it's accurate enough to do pro-quality (intonation) setups, it can pay for itself fairly quickly depending on how many guitars you own.

Amen to that....It does a great job during my setup work also!

Re: Best Tuner for the $$$...?

i looked up the Peterson...it looks like something an away team would use to scan for lifeforms...LOL! :22: $160 - $180 on ebay even... :smack: wow!

i'd like to have one eventually, but it may be to hard on the wallet at the moment...?!

Re: Best Tuner for the $$$...?

umm.. your ears? you dont need to pay anything for em LOL

depends on when and where you'll use it though... i think those fender tuners are ok =P
but thats just me

Re: Best Tuner for the $$$...?

hmmm...it would be nice to have one in a pedal form...?

I bought a Korg DT-7 last year. After chasing an intonation problem, I bought a Peterson VS2. The Peterson is so much more accurate, so much easier to use, and has an infintely better display than the Korg. Today, I can't imagine trying to intonate or tune a guitar with a tuner less accurate than the Peterson. The Peterson was money well spent -- the Korg was money wasted.

You'll want to get a Peterson eventually. Instead of wasting your money on a cheap tuner you'll eventually throw away and replace with the Peterson, get the Peterson instead (assuming you can afford it).

I read a great review about this peterson in a git mag....
it's a strobo tuner, isn't it? simple is the best sometimes though this thing doesn't look simple

Re: Best Tuner for the $$$...?

I kinda like the TU-2 from Boss, it's pretty accurate, it's a stompbox, and it acts as a power supply for all my other pedals. I think it's like $90 or so.

i'm trying to see what the major differences are between the VS-1 and VS-2...?
