I have just received an email from Mr. Ben Fargen about about him wrapping up my amp repair in a couple of days. I am excited about getting my amp back and a little apprehensive about the cost. I know this amp is going to sound excellent.
Did he say what was up with it?
I remember an old TV repairman, probably a friend of one of my uncles told me always keep one hand in my pocket when working on HV stuff. Even if you shut the power off at the breaker.

He told me he will itemize all the work done, parts replaced and what he found later. I asked him if he wouldn't mind recording a video of him playing through my amp and he told me he will if he has time. He also told me he will include some amp building resources. Ben Fargen is pretty cool.
Maybe. I always thought that it had something to do with trying to avoid creating a path to ground that would go directly across your chest. I guess I was wrong. He was probably paid by the hour, and that made it take at least twice as long. And if you're calling a repairman, you're clearly not qualified to call Bravo Sierra if that's indeed what it is.

Did you get a final price?
Well, I am happy he is going to take pics and explain what went wrong. Most techs wouldn't bother.
Great sounding amp! Happy he could help complete this project, so you can concentrate more on playing than building.
