My father worked on a Navigation station on Greenland in 67, they had a million watts powered by tubes....watercooled tubes!!!
That was some amp...hehe

Wow, that's crazy. Not much tube stuff being used anymore in the real world though, actually, the only place I know of is in my physics lab where all of the transformers are running on tubes. Old 6550s and amperex and mullard 12ax7s :smack:

for what are those "spark-plug connector" on the top of the tube... looks funny!
