Accident, last year where I almost lost a finger and thumb. Freaking taxi and bike in Shanghai.

Seven months or hard rehab, almost good as new year later

other people telling me how bad I sound

sometimes they are just teasing as friends do

but it always demoralizes





also not playing with other people

the backing tracks never offer advice or tips on playing

Music theory, not playing with other people much.
Only having an IBZ10 amp.

Too much GAS not enough playing. I'm trying to play with a larger group of people now... I have played with the same 5 guys for 5 or 6 years and they weren't pushing me to grow.

I also rely too heavily on delay

Intonation. I've owned guitars that kill inspiration because when I play chords beyond the 12th fret I can hear the tiny imperfections in terms of tuning and it drives me nuts.

Besides that my only issue is not practicing and educating myself. I just can't sit and read about modes, etc. It doesn't click.

Never trust a music book that doesn't give lots of examples you can play and hear as you read through.
