Bigsby for Les Paul

I have a Kramer Les Paul custom and it has black hardware. And I'm wanting to replace the tailpiece with a Bigsby. So, naturally I'm going to get a black one to match the hardware. I was on their website and saw 2 black one's. One was a surface mount and the other one was a long version that mounted on the side mainly but on the surface as well. I'd rather have the long one because it would look better but, I don't know if it would fit it or not. And these are the only 2 they have in black. So can anybody out there tell me if the Bigsby B700 (long version) will fit my Les Paul or not? Or would I have to go with the surface mount one instead.

The surface mount, or horseshoe mount bigsby's will not fit onto a archtop guitar. They will fit on sg's tele's and even strat bodies. You would need to go for the long version, because it is made for archtops. It should have 4 screws that go around the strap button and two that go on the face of the guitar. At least mine does.
