You have a Tele and a Strat. That covers a whole lot of ground.

I say get something with the Gibson sound. Not a carved top LP. Something more versatile. A semi-hollow Epi archtop from the Samick days, or an MIJ SG or LP Special by Orville, Epiphone (domestic), or Epiphone Elistist (export). All are near identical in construction and quality. The heads are the largest difference. They are very well built guitars that rival Gibsons IMHO.

Don't get me wrong. I love carved top LPs. It is just that to me they tend to have a more "niche" sound than an SG or 335. I personally find it hard to choose a LP for an entire set in which a variety of tones are needed. (Tele, Strat, SG, Junior or Special, 335, no problem.) I like them better for recording than playing live.

Yeah, that's the reason I was looking at the Gordon-Smiths and the Yammies. I also think that the BM Sig would give me some thicker tones too...

Certainly some of the MIJ Burnys/Tokais/Epis/Orvilles/Edwards have caught my attention too.

The Gordon Smith Graduate 60s (the single cut LP style) do have a carved top, but it's of english equivalent wood (Sycamore) and not maple thats on Gibsons etc.

Mine has a slightly thinner tone than my thicker bodied Gibson LP does. Let me know if you want to know anything else :)

I actually think the slightly thinner tone would work for me. I suppose it depends on whether they're the thin or thick body versions too.

I didn't know they did thick and thin bodied versions tbh!

There's usually a few on Ebay at not bad prices :)

The used prices do make them very attractive!!! I think they always built them slightly thinner, then offered a thick-bodied option. I think they advertise both on their website.

Ah right, I didn't realise. Their website used to be completely useless so I haven't been on it in ages tbh.

When I custom ordered mine they never asked what body thickness I wanted so I never asked!

Alas,the Kramer/Focus gets my vote,also!
I "had" :censored: an older ESP 2 HB one,it was a monster!!!
How 'bout a Vanguard(Rhodes-thingy) for that matter!
