It's unfortunate that no matter the woods and finish used, it's still just a bolt on LP clone.

Because that ****'s really pretty.

I don't mind bolt-on LP's. I own two of them from Warmoth and they are great! I have also owned set neck Gibsons and really have not noticed a big difference.

I tend to agree with you on the bolt-on bit. For some reason, a LP style should be set-neck. Otherwise, it reminds me of the cheap 70's import junk. There was a lot of imports that were not junk, but most of those were set neck...

Honestly, I think it boils down to the quality of woods used, not whether it has a bolt-on neck versus a set neck. It's just my opinion, but I have played some amazing bolt-on neck guitars including my own. I have played some amazing set neck guitars including my own. I have also played really crappy set necks as well as bolt-on's.

Bad wood is bad wood. Import or domestic or price doesn't matter. Wood tonal properties make or break a guitar.

Beautiful Wood...but you could pick up a decent used older complete Gibson guitar for hundreds less than that body costs.

Not where I live.

Anyway, it sold, I'm amazed it sold that quickly to be honest. I was starting to put some money away towards purchasing it in a month or two if it was still there.

I agree with both statements!

It's funny, I've seen gorgeous necks and bodies sit on Warmoth's site for months at a time. I check their in stock inventory about twice a month and this body was up for about 3 weeks and gone. Obviously it was purty enough to sell for $795 to more people than just me!

I guess I'm in a good mood today even though this body sold. Got that right though, some lucky person is getting one heckuva guitar body for sure. I feel like a stalker because I want to see how it looks when finished and hear it.
