I own a black Jackson King V myself and it's probably the ultimate metal guitar around. The EMG 81 & 85 pick ups are just blow-away in sound & then some.

One of the genre's founders, Varg Vikerenes (Nazi piece of ****), was playing a budget Peavey when Guitar World stupidly covered him a few years back. Probably because he's broke, not out of choice, though.

Well said, freedom of expression and ideology isn’t freedom from judgement.
I love his music however his YouTube channel is fairly unsettling though I check it out from time to time.

I have multiple types of guitars, multiple colors, various pickups, etc, and I play black metal. The instrument doesn't matter honestly. I know a lot of guys get caught up in the imagery of the genre, but how black metal is it to conform to what others think of you or what you should do? Play what you want, who cares what others may think my friend.
