I know Hellish Outcast ain't black metal... Jeez...
But did you guys know, that Black Metal, is not about how it sounds, it's the lyrics that is black metal. The insane sounding is just added for a more pleasant experience
I never said that band was Black Metal.
I want that tone, that he's got. But I can't afford a 5150II ...
Pickups might send me in a better direction, atleast when I got some crappy 100HDFX amp.

something you must know is, the sound you listen on albums comes from laying several guitar tracks... so, don't expect to get the 'exact' same sound coming from one amp.
To get a 'high gain sound', you need a high gain amp, period.
but you haven't told us what guitar and pickups you have.

I have told you what guitar I have. If you had read the first post you maybe would have noticed this line: "I have a les paul". It's from Heimdale. I have no idea what pickups there is in it, but it ain't giving me the tones I want. Yes, I have tried different amps, and pedals, but just not giving me a sound I'm comfortably with.

ok, my bad.
If I were you, I would go for a good high gain amp. But if you don't have the money yet, try changing the pickup first.
I would suggest to get a bridge pickup with more output... a pickup with ceramic magnet, like the SH-5 (Custom), SH-6 (Distortion), SH-8 (Invader) or some Dimarzios. If you want an in-your-face high output pickup, check some actives pickups like EMG or SD Blackout.
btw, black metal is not just about the lyrics. If Shakira sing some songs about satan, it wouln't be black metal... if you know what I mean.

Lots of other ****. But in some views, black metal is Satanism, and I agree on that. But there are different sorts of black metal in the world...
But if shakira stated she was black metal (black rnb is more right i think), she wouldn't get any attention from the metal world if that's what you mean. Infact, she would lose fans for that haha.
I got EMG's in my KH202... Dosn't sound great. But I'll check out the local music stores soon=)
