Blackout Preamp in Stratocaster

Good day.

I have a Fender stratocaster with 3 YJM FURY pickups. I like the sound of them but the bridge pickup could use alittle more "Beef" and I was thinking of putting my blackout modular preamp in it.
I know you need two preams to be able to power all three pickups but Im mostly interested in preamping the bidge pickup.

My question is how to wire this. Im interrested to replace the middle Tone-pot and not the Volume-pot for this.

Keep on rocking!

Welcome to the forum.

Two quick questions for you;
1) How close to the strings have you adjusted the YJM pickups?
2) What amplification and pedals do you use?

Re: Blackout Preamp in Stratocaster

1. I have the pickups in "the middle" (not all the way down, and not close to the strings). I'm not looking for more power/output necessary, its just that the bridgepickup is sharp as a Katana, wich can be good sometimes.
2. I play different setups but mostly through a Blackstar HT5 or my Zoom R24 Portastudio. I dont use anypedals.

Re: Blackout Preamp in Stratocaster

there are a bunch of issues to doing this. Short answer is that without a spaghetti mess with complicated switching and 2 sets of controls its not easily feasible

Ok I understood it would be hard to wire this.

Might look for a pickup change or a midboost circuit instead.
