Blackouts Tone Pots

So I installed my Blackout set into my Epiphone SG OMG I love them, totally silent, fantastic output.

So I wired these puppies from scratch and the tone pots don't work. I've checked my wiring 100 times and I have it all right. My main issue is when I bought the set, I only received 1 capacitor. So I reused the old ones.

Is that ok?

Also does it matter which way (polarity for lack of a better word) you wire the capacitor?

Thanks for listening :cool2:

No. If you had passive pickups before, those capacitors won't even put a dent into the low impedance signal of the Blackouts. You need to use the cap we provided (or one that EMG provides) which is a .47uF. You probably have .047uF or .022uF.

Not for guitar. There are polarized capacitors but they will not usually be found in a guitar.
