blacktop strat/mim HSS with Floyd

Thinking about a new strat... Has anyone tried either of these? If so, what was your thoughts?
Maybe thoughts on the HSH blacktop as well?

Appearance-wise it looks like it's basically a standard Mexican Strat but with humbuckers and amp knobs, which I can't stand. But I do love the sonic blue finish.

one i saw on youtube sounded fantastic. one i played (the hss non-floyd version) was meehh

I dig some of the MIM strats throughout the years, my 95 especially... but I've never been able to play a blacktop... or one with a Floyd either. (Never seen one in the flesh)

OK... How bout bang for ya buck? What direction should I consider? Looking for a modding platform for a project... Anything comparable to mid 90's MIM?

I was thinking for a mod fest a Squier vintage modified 70s or classic vibe 60s fairly cheap and easy. Put a Floyd on it some new machines and swap the pups and wiring it would be smoking hot. Maybe even a set of single coil sized humbuckers and wire them series/split/parallel . Remember I am not right so anything I say can't be held against me. You can get a 90s mexican strat fairly cheap too and it is a better base for mods depending on how serious you want to get.
