Blast from the past: Fuglybucker. Set.

I didn’t realize these were developed into a set. I thought it was just a bridge.
Definitely a set.
And I'm not normally one for A2 pickups.
But these things are ridiculous. Clean, they make the Shecter sound like a Martin.

The parallel axis coil is an interesting thing. The poles are fairly small, but they're spread out quite a bit, so you get, I believe, a more diffused magnetic field, less string pull, a more even response, less drop out, and lower inductance, giving parallel axis pickups always that pleasant sizzle in the top end that never gets fizzy.

I wish I could handle the looks, but I'm a gold-cover-6-screw kinda guy all the way.

the pa poles on one coil with the bar magnet rail on the other is a cool and very unique setup. never tried a set and kinda regret not getting them when they came out but i have plenty of un-used stuff sitting around already.

That’s awesome, having a set definitely makes it less “fugly” and I bet you could do inners and outers and get radically different tones.
