Blasty Extreme Metal

CTN

The Drama Dude
My old band just finished mixing the album I was working on when I left them some time back.

Through a strange twist of fate, the guy who replaced me after I left, he got fired a few weeks ago and now I'm filling in for a few live dates this summer.

Anyway, here's a short, fast, blasty tune from the new album, with a ripping solo by yours truly. Still has to be mastered, but you get the idea....

Re: Blasty Extreme Metal

thanks fellas. G175...I would not have thought you'd listen to this kinda stuff! :D

Re: Blasty Extreme Metal

Music isn't music without blastbeats. Cool riffs and solo dude! tbh vocalist blows. Too thin, no definition, and too high in the mix... unfortunately this is fairly common in underground extreme metal (can I assume he plays an instrument as well?) ...for recording I would have layered him a bit and not left it so dry. But who cares what I would do? Sounds good!

Re: Blasty Extreme Metal

Love that kinda tone, riffs, and drum beats. Vocals kill it for me but reminiscent of early in flames (speaking in terms of my now limited metal vocabulary).

Re: Blasty Extreme Metal

I hear ya guys about the vox. It's actually the other guitarist doing them. Our original singer decided to leave the band in a hissy fit before he finished recording all his parts, and we couldn't find anyone with a diverse enough range to replace him, not around here anyway.

so the other guitarist is doing black metal vocals
keyboardist is doing death metal vocals
and they're both doing clean vocals.

Music sounds great! I needn't reiterate that the singer is sub-par, but I just did.

Re: Blasty Extreme Metal

I'd like to hear it once it's mastered, kinda lacks energy in it's current state, but I won't critique too much.

Love the solo, nice work mang.
