Blog: Obey Your Master. The Art of Amp Slaving

Re: Blog: Obey Your Master. The Art of Amp Slaving

Haven't you heard? Slavery was abolished and replaced with 5-15W amps for fear of being too loud onstage.

This generation must be shuddering at the thought of......gasp, a 50 or 100W halfstack.......or dare I say, a few linked together. Oh, the horror. :argh:

This post is racist. And it kind of turns me on....

What?!! There's a race? I'm a racist. I love Formula 1, hope it's a Grand Prix race.

I slave amps all the time. You really can get some cool tones and create more depth and space with delays and chorus with a wet/dry setup. I ran w/d/w for fun, but wasn't THAT much better to seriously do live. I will run a wet/dry if space works out though. I just use an old Randall RG80es as my wet rig. I can even hide it behind my cab if need.
