Blows Fuses..!

Re: Blows Fuses..!

I turn the damn amp on..it blows the fuse..What With That???

Sometimes that's a symptom of bad power tubes. Change out your power tubes.

Although we really need more details about your situation.

What kind of amp is it?

Is it SS or tube?

Is it plugged into a surge protector?

Is your wiring in your house old or is it modern?

Are you plugging it into a 3-prong (grounded outlet) or are you using a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter?

Wow, that sucks. Always happens when you let it out of your sight and you don't know if it was dropped or something.:boggled:

If you replaced the blown fuse with a new one and it blows the new one you know you have a short somewhere.:2:

You might have to take it to an amp tech or open it up yourself and see if any part of the board is loose. Sorry to hear about your amp woes.:disappoin

Yes..I'm going to have to take it in somewhere to have the problem fixed. I'm no good at electronics..can't tell the colors of wires..all looks Chinese to me!
