Blues Pups For Bluesbird?

what would you think of an AP2 neck and a CC for a guild m-75 solid mahogany body (looks like a les paul only a little thinner, more like a studio)? i'm looking for an overdriven blues sound........ :usa2:

That sounds like a good overall combo. If you want something with more bite, a Pearly Gates in the neck and a C5 in the bridge would be an option.

How hot do you want it? I think the CC would be a tad hot for the blues. I have a Seth in my "V" and its plenty hot. I think Antiquities are wound a little hotter than the Seths if that is what you want. A2 tends to distort a little sooner than a5.

Lew has a similar set up to the one you want in his Hamer, so maybe he'll contribute.
