Bobbin toppers

Do they actually work with SD humbucker?

I'm now thinking of keeping my Custom for the bridge of my SX Strat, but the original pickguard is white. I can actually choose a black pickguard, but I wonder how it will look on a Vintage White guitar.

Do bobbin toppers worth the money?

Re: Bobbin toppers

Hey Sly,

I tried them to turn a black bucker in to a zebra. They look good but it didn't have the exact pole-piece spacing so I had to stretch it a little, causing some minor "folding". Second, they don't last very long. If you tend to rub it just a little while playing or if you sweat a bit, they will start to peel within a week or two... I'd say live with the color you have or sell your pick-up and buy the correct one...that's what I did with my custom....

Hope this helped...:)

Thanks a lot man, that's exactly what I wanted to know... I'll save the money for something more useful. Ciao! :)
