Bogner XTC Red pedal

Bogner XTC Red pedal, got on a trade for the Uberschall pedal [didn't care for that one]. Has some decent high gain type tones. Really comes alive with the bass, middle & treble open about 2/3rds. Gets real noisy with the volume past 1/2. Set for unity gain & you're good.

Nice. I’d like to get the mini red. Played the mini blue the other day. Way too little gain for me.

I believe the red has more than the blue.

I keep reading reviews about a lot of noise (hiss) at high gain settings - is this true in your experience?

Have the mini-blue, works great for my taste!

Yes not gain so much but anything past 1/2 way on the volume it get very noisey.
Seems Reinhold needs to go back to the drawing board & add noise reduction.

I looked at the guts tho circuitry is top notch.

If you used just this pedal by itself & nothing else it would be less noise than with other pedals in the chain.

I have an ISP gate that works fine.
The pedal does sound good tho.

The Uberschall pedal was a dud for me.
And the guy i swapped XTC red for Uber with has the Uberschall listed again on CL so he musta not liked it either.
Haven't tried the blue.

I pulled it from the board.
Just too much un-wanted noise.
The noise just drowns out everything else.
I would not recommend this pedal.

Man, I love my Uberschall pedal! Glad you are digging this, though!
